Elizabeth Mason was fired up after launching a home run during Game 2 of the 2018 Division I Women’s Softball Championship in Oklahoma City. Mason finished the championship clincher 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored, delivering one of the decisive offensive performances of the night. Her two-run blast in the 4th inning helped No. 6 FSU seize control after No. 5 Washington’s early lead and extend their advantage. Mason’s production reflected the depth and balance of a lineup that surged late and carried the Noles to an 8-3 victory and the program’s first NCAA National Championship.
