BOWDEN AND CALLAWAY: SIGNED IN LEGACY
This framed photograph captures a quiet but powerful moment between legendary head coach Bobby Bowden and longtime Seminole equipment manager Jimmie Callaway. The photo is autographed by Bowden himself, his distinctive scrawl marking more than just a name, but an era. Bowden and Callaway were two pillars of FSU football, each shaping the program in ways most fans never saw. Callaway served the Seminoles for more than four decades, outfitting generations of players with the gear they wore. But his impact went far beyond helmets and jerseys. “He was a coach away from the field, a father figure to the guys he took a liking to,” said CB Corey Fuller, who starred at FSU from 1990 to 1994 and played 10 years in the NFL. “He always looked out for me and gave me great advice.”
