A YOUNG HEISMAN WINNER
Date: 2013
When Jameis Winston won the 2013 Heisman Trophy, he was just 19 years and 342 days old, making him the youngest Heisman Trophy winner at the time. Redshirt freshman Winston handily took home the award with 668 first-place votes, defeating senior QB A.J. McCarron of Alabama (79 first-place votes) and senior QB Jordan Lynch of Northern Illinois (40 first-place votes). This win set Winston on a trajectory of success — in 2015 he became FSU’s first-ever No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
