A DOMINANT DEBUT

This commemorative football recognizes the immediate impact of FSU Athletics upon joining the ACC in 1991. (Seminole football began conference play the following year.) Labeled the “Supreme Team” and sponsored by Exxon, this ACC-branded ball is autographed by players selected for conference honors during the 1991 season. Once the Seminoles began conference play in 1992, they became the supreme team of the ACC. The Seminoles went undefeated in ACC play that first season, led by QB Casey Weldon, LB Kirk Carruthers and a defense that finished top-five nationally. The 1992 season set the tone for FSU’s decade-long dominance in the conference.
