A BLISTERING SHOOTER

FSU legends G Wanda Burns and F Tia Paschal overlapped for two years at FSU, during the 1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons, a time when the program truly thrived. In the 1990-91 season, Burns averaged a blistering 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and nearly two steals per game. Burns grew as a shooter and scorer year after year, making over 33 percent of her 3-pointers in her senior season. Teamed with Paschal, Burns led the Seminoles to the second round of the 1991 NCAA Tournament, the deepest run for the program until 2007.
