THRILLER IN TALLAHASSEE
Date: November 25, 2022
The FSU-Florida rivalry has been one of college football’s most storied fights since it began in 1958. One late November night in 2022 at Doak Campbell Stadium would be no different. A back-and-forth affair, both teams were tied at 38-38 late in the fourth quarter. Then came RB Trey Benson. With four minutes left to go in the game, Benson powered into the end zone, running 17 yards for the game-winning score. The No. 16 Noles ran for 228 yards, supplemented by QB Jordan Travis’ 83 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The Seminoles defeated their in-state rival, 45-38, the highest-scoring game in the rivalry to that date.
