THREE YEARS, THREE ACC CROWNS

Conference perfection continued in 1994 as the Seminoles went 8-0 in ACC play to claim a third championship in three seasons as league members. FSU won those eight games by an average margin of 28-plus points, capped by a 34-3 victory over No. 25 NC State on the road. Led by coach Bobby Bowden and All-Americans LB Derrick Brooks and CB Clifton Abraham, the Noles finished 10-1-1 and ranked No. 4 in the final AP poll. FSU went on to defeat rival Florida, 23-17, in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
