RAIN OR SHINE

Flooding forced officials to cancel the halftime show, but the weather could not spoil Florida State’s 1993 Orange Bowl victory. The No. 3 Seminoles defeated No. 11 Nebraska, 27-14, on the neutral field in Miami. QB Charlie Ward threw touchdown passes to WR Tamarick Vanover and WR Kez McCorvey, while RB Sean Jackson rushed for 101 yards and added an 11-yard score. FSU gained 436 total yards, controlled possession for 36:53 minutes and completed the 1992 season at 11-1 with a No. 2 ranking.
