BENTLEY BOOTS TO GLORY

Freshman K Scott Bentley of Aurora, Colorado, made four field goals in the 1994 Orange Bowl, helping FSU defeat Nebraska 18-16 and secure the program’s first National Championship. Bentley’s poise under pressure was critical in a game where every point mattered. He led the Noles in scoring, including the go-ahead field goal with 21 seconds remaining. His final kick capped a season in which he answered the high expectations placed on his young shoulders.
